Michelle’s home and floral studio are located in the scenic, historic Borough of Stonington, Connecticut. Her curiosity to observe different floral cultures, changes in environments, and botanical wonders of the world are what made Michelle want to chose a diverse approach in how she operated her business.

Michelle’s education began in 2000 from The State of New York Botanical Garden in Bronx, New York. She chose this design certificate because she felt strongly about learning the artistic style of floral design that would only come from her favorite city on earth! Her favorite course was learning how to shop the New York flower markets. She continues to travel into the city for her floral needs due to the quality, variety, and mostly the connections of the same people for 17 years.

The first part of her career began as a freelance designer in West Palm Beach Florida under the brilliant direction of Michael Ereshna as her strong mentor.

In 2002 Michelle opened up her floral studio Innovative Floral & Event Designs while spending the winter months working with Special Event Resource Group. She found herself on a puddle jumper to Nantucket overnight and spent three winter seasons honing in on skills that would carry on to a lifetime of creating her own visions for clients.

Through these experiences, Michelle mastered the talent and strength that it takes to transform venues into over-the-top, breathtaking events of all sizes. From a grandiose tented event for The Boys and Girls Club on Fisher Island in Miami, an intimate Nantucket shoreline wedding, to a L'Oreal Cosmetic Company annual corporate gala in Scottsdale, AZ, The Flower Belle has accomplished it!

Michelle also has studied the European markets with many stamps on her passport from Holland. She thrives on furthering her knowledge of world flower markets and the impressive, artistic approach of European hand-tied bouquets and designing.

Michelle has successfully raised 2 amazing, young adults,  who are completing their college education and 2 parents who are happily retired. The so-called “empty nest years are not so “empty”.

Flower Belle is ready to feed her passion this winter in the lush, tropical rainforests of Costa Rica to share her experiences with you and to absorb a whole new culture of botanical inspiration for her upcoming 2018 clients in Connecticut.

Don’t worry folks! It’s a snowbird thing…The Flower Belle studio will be scheduling appointments all year round. That is the beauty part of technology!
